If you still find it somewhat vague, picture these: a person or a group of people meditating and guided through the process by a professional guide; a person reading a meditation script while you meditate; a cassette or CD you bought or prepared yourself to help you through the mediation process. All of these are examples of a guided meditation. Since one is supposed to acquire a state of deep relaxation during any meditation, guides are a good motivator.</p>
<p>So what is nice about a guided meditation? Well for one a guided meditation is often cheaper than a private session. If you use tools like CD’s or cassettes or if you ask the help of a friend to guide you, it wouldn’t cost you as much as a private session would. Though, these private sessions are considered as guided meditations as well.</p>
<p>A guided meditation can make you understand the basics of meditation more clearly. It can help you get rid of all distractions and meditate more effectively. Most of the group guided meditation has particular goals, from physical healing to spiritual-related goals. While guided meditation may be used to achieve healing, the guides are not the healers though. Your naturally healthy state is just being restored through the flow of energy freed by your meditation.</p>
<p>A lot of websites offer information on self meditation and guided meditation. Most of these sites even provide prepared scripts, sounds, and several calming images for exercise to help you stay focused. Often after you have experienced with guided meditation, you should attempt to meditate on your own. We will be creating a virtual guided meditation room of some sort here with the same goals – to provide you minutes of deep relaxation and reflection.</p>
<p>Some guided meditations provide around thirty minutes of relaxing music to calm the mind and body. A guide’s voice can sometimes be heard over the beat of the music t cue you on what to think of and how to stay more deeply focused. These guided meditations can be practiced alone or with a group. Using CD’s or cassettes commercially available will also give you the same features.</p>
<p>A guided meditation is perfect for people who are still learning the basics of meditation. While it may be somewhat lengthy for those first timers, it can still provide them with a lot of tips on how to go about acquiring a feeling of deep calmness.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When you are engaged in <strong>deep meditation</strong>, it is bound to have some sorts of effects in your daily life. And of course when I&#8217;m talking about <strong>deep meditation</strong>, I&#8217;m talking about those kind of meditation when you can go into deep blissful states, as if you have gone into another world. There are many terms and definitions for these types of meditation. It is simply not just sitting there and not moving your body. In fact, you experience a shift in consciousness and seem to go into another &#8216;world&#8217;, a deep deep inner world which no words can describe.</p>
<p>For myself I cannot say that I have experienced such <strong>deep states of meditation</strong>; but my dear friend has. Thought she has only a few months of meditating practice and experience, it seems that she is able to go into such deep states of meditation at will, and very frequently.</p>
<p>According to her, to go into such deep state of inner peace, you need to be able to let go of everything, including &#8216;forgetting&#8217; that you have a body. Initially you may still be able to be aware of your breathing, but slowly the breathing becomes thinner and thinner; until there seems to be no breathing at all. It&#8217;s as if the breathing has stopped. When you have reached this stage, you&#8217;ll find yourself easily able to go into very deep state of inner bliss and peace.</p>
<p>The strange thing is, even though she can go into such deep states of meditation, when she&#8217;s out of her meditation practice, she becomes another &#8216;person&#8217;. She is still a normal human being who is able to experience all kinds of emotions - anger, joy, happiness, temper, etc.</p>
<p>It seems that there is no &#8216;person&#8217; within herself - one is the inner being able to experience deep states of meditation, and another is the outer being who is functioning in this physical world and going through life just as normal as any other human would do. One thing is certain, she is experiencing some temper moods at different periods of the day. And her emotional moods can swing from one end to the other very quick.</p>
<p>There are some explanations to this kind of strange experience. It could be due to that her chakras are not opening up at the same time. Her higher chakras including the crown, third eye and throat chakras are opening up faster than her lower chakras. This could result in a person not being able to balance himself/herself in the physical world. And in the eyes of other people, this person can appear to have very bad temper and suffering from bad emotional swings every now and then.</p>
<p>Recently she found herself kept wanting to blow out air from within her, and she would tend to make the sound &#8216;hum&#8217; every now and then. It was automatic. At time she startles her colleagues who were shocked when she made the sound &#8216;hum&#8217; coutinuously. And they asked her, &#8220;Are you okay?&#8221; She couldn&#8217;t laugh at herself after that. But she couldn&#8217;t help it. Her lips were vibrating and she needed to blow out the air to keep her lips from vibrating. If anyone asked her to stop humming, she would be very sad!</p>
<p>Practice is often full of obstacles, especially if you still need to be able to function in this physical world, going to work daily just like any other people.</p>

There was a stop in town whereby we can have our aura photography taken, and we could actually see the <strong>colors our chakras</strong> are radiating for the present. The colors of the chakras as well as our aura can tell a lot of things about us, including our present state of well-being, character, consciousness, and it was said that it could even help to &#8216;predict&#8217; what the near future is holding for us.</p>
<p>I figured out that my friend would have more of the spiritual purple-white colors around her. It was no surprise that when we saw the photo, she did had an amazing clouds of thick purple surrounding her. The presence of purple, white and blue colors often indicates strong spiritual aspirations and inclinations. At the level of her throat chakra it can been seen that the throat chakra is very active and very opened&#8230;radiating a deep blue-purple. The simple yet amazingly accurate report is also quite accurate in interpretating her current state of mind and well-being. She was indeed very much in tune with the divine, and she was walking on the path of self-realization.</p>

<p>Defining what <strong>chakra</strong> is should be the first step in fully understanding the chakra meditation. <p>The <strong>Heart Chakra or the anahata</strong> can be found at the center of one’s chest. Love and understanding are the focus of this chakra, as well as the emotions resulting from these feelings. The color green is associated with the Heart Chakra.</p>
<p>A vital point located in the throat area is called the <strong>Throat Chakra or vishuddha</strong>. Linked to one’s communication, this chakra is also associated with the sky-blue color.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Recently, my friend told me that she kept hearing voices and sounds while she was drifting off to sleep. Constant and consistent practice of meditation and a sharp focus has brought her various experiences which she had never experienced or was aware of before. These days, besides our usual sitting meditation, we also practiced <strong>dream yoga</strong> - taught in the tibetan tradition. <strong>Dream yoga meditation</strong> is a wonderful practice, as it allows us the make use of the night time to do some practice at the same time.</p>
<p>Being able to awaken in the dream state and to be aware that one is dreaming is considered to be awakening from the suffering of illusion and confusion. It would also help us to see life reality for what is really is - dreamlike, illusory, impermanent.</p>
<p>So, this is what we are planning to do - keeping a consistent meditation practice during the day, and practicing dream yoga for the night. <img src='http://www.e-bazi.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />   This also explains why my friend keeps having the strange experience of hearing sounds and voices while sleeping in clear light&#8230;this is just the start of her unknown journey within&#8230;we&#8217;ll update again!</p>

<p>Well for some, that may be true. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>One of the biggest problems that faces advocates of meditation is the idea that it’s all quack science. Meditation somehow got thrown into the same pot as Feng Shui, crystals and astrology. But unlike those things, meditation does have dozens of studies that back up the beliefs of its practitioners. Here is a short list at some scientific studies that showed that meditation does, in fact, <strong>benefit the human body as well as the mind</strong>.</p>
<p>• Scientific Research on the Transcendental Meditation Program: Collected Papers, Volume 1: 385–392, 1977. In this study, college students were used to see if meditation helped with memory.</p>
<p>As it turned out, it did, and the results were overwhelming. After a 40-day meditation program, memory was up four times in testing over a control group who did not meditate. During the study, the meditation group was tested against a control group that simply sat with their eyes closed. Similar studies have been done since 1977 and they all show results that prove that by meditating, you can improve your mental sharpness significantly.<br />
• Human Physiology 25: 171–180, 1999. This study helped to prove a claim that many thought was outrageous. The idea that by practicing meditation, you actually used a larger percentage of your brain more frequently.</p>
<p>This 1999 study used somatosensory stimuli on the brain and then took readings of activity in the cortex of the brain. One reading was done before meditation began and then a second reading was taken during meditation. The amount of brain used during these meditation periods was much larger than before. There is still some speculation about whether this expansion carries over to the time after meditation.</p>
<p>• Hypertension 26: 820–827, 1995. This study helped to prove one of the most well known tenants of meditation. It really does lower your blood pressure.</p>
<p>Patients who participated in the study that learned meditation showed an increase of more than double to those that were in the control group and triple to those that simply received health education on reducing your blood pressure through proper diet and exercise. It has been preached for years that meditation lowers stress levels so much that an actual reduction in blood pressure takes place, and this study proved it.</p>
<p>• Journal of Counselling and Development 64: 212–215, 1985. This study also went out to prove one of the long-held beliefs about <strong><a href="http://www.tarotreadingsecrets.com" target="_blank">meditation</a></strong>: that it can help you sleep better at night. But instead of choosing a group that was already sleeping well, they chose people who were suffering from insomnia due to post-traumatic stress disorder.</p>
<p>The results were even more dramatic then the researchers were expecting. While the control group actually got worse over the time of the project, the group that practiced meditation showed great sings of improvement. The study took four months to complete so that the results would be more authentic.</p>
<p>• Journal of Counselling and Development 64: 212–215, 1985. It is also believed by most meditation practitioners that meditation can decrease depression and improve your overall outlook on life. While it may be difficult to quantify these claims in a lab environment, this study used the same post-traumatic stress disorder patients as in the study above and checked to see how their depression levels were after four months.</p>
<p>An overwhelming majority of the patients who had practiced meditation as apposed to those who were in the control group showed significantly less depression. Not only is meditation a great way to relieve stress and depression in every day life, it can be a great medical tool for dealing with depression, as well.</p>
<p>•  Academy of Management Journal 17: 362-368, 1974. This study took a look at two different aspects of meditation on professional life. Can regular meditation help to improve your job performance and job satisfaction at the same time? According to this study, both are not only possible but are likely. The study was simple. A group of professionals were asked about their job before learning meditation and then again afterwards. The results showed a major jump in both satisfaction and performance.</p>
<p>• The American Journal of Managed Care 3: 135–144, 1997. Finally, one of the most controversial claims about meditation is that it can actually improve your health. This study looked at medical utilization and expenditure and came to the conclusion that those that chose to practice mediation on a regular basis showed a significant drop in the amount of time spent in hospitals during visits and a drop in the number of visits overall.</p>
<p>While these studies may not prove the <strong><a href="http://www.tarotreadingsecrets.com/categories/Meditation-And-Spirituality/" target="_blank">benefits of meditation</a></strong> to everyone, they do help to add inarguable medical and scientific proof to the meditation argument. There is little doubt anymore that meditation is good for you and that, if practiced long term, it can lead to major health advantages over time.</p>

The more we use the tarot cards, the more we find that they are beginning to tell us amazing things in ways other things could never tell us. For instance, both my friend and myself started a little venture online just a few days ago; and we proceed to consult <strong>tarot reading</strong>. The cards indicated that we could go for our little venture and adventure; the signs are good; but there would be some obstacles. We&#8217;ll see how it goes for this reading!</p>
<p>Some people have been pointing out that when we sleep, our physical body has actually fell asleep, but our spiritual body would fall out of the body and recharge itself during sleep. Some people and especially children tend to have out of body experiences, or even an astral projection with full awareness of what&#8217;s going on. My friend was having this weird experience of having a very deep meditative sleep; and she had a strong fear of what she might experience or see if she came out of her body; so she was not keen to explore the world out of her body; but instead choose to stay inside her body and remain in deep meditation.</p>
<p>I used to encourage her to be daring enough to explore other &#8216;worlds&#8217;. It would be such a waste; if she had that ability and power; but was stopped by her own fear of &#8216;what might be&#8217;. In fact, many of the mystics masters of the old times such as Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad, etc&#8230;these visionary masters are themselves brilliant out of body explorers. They experienced the truth for themselves and find out the truths with first hand experience; not just by listening to other people or reading about it. </p>
<p>There was one night, just a few days ago, when my friend had the experience of hearing herself snore while sleeping. She was very aware that it was her soul &#8217;snoring&#8217;; and at times she could see herself sleeping! However, she was not conscious that she was out of body. During one time, she realized that she could &#8217;see through&#8217; her closed eyes, and saw her surroundings quite clearly!</p>

As usual she was lying on bed and resting; her usual routine was to <strong>meditate while sleeping</strong> and resting at the same time. And she had an amazing natural ability to do just that: meditating while sleeping. It was a very peaceful and comfortable experience for her. As she did this, she will visualize <strong>a large golden egg or energy ball</strong> wrapping around her, all over her body, and she will slowly drift off to a <strong>deep</strong> <strong>meditative sleep</strong>.</p>
<p>She claimed that she didn&#8217;t really fall asleep. She tried to put it into words but had difficulty doing so. It was as if she would go into a clear void and light everytime she slept in a meditative state. It was as if she was asleep, but not really so. I could only guess that it could be that her body was so relaxed that her physical had drifted off to sleep; while her mind was still in clear light. She had a lot of work to do; such as being able to maintain more <strong>clarity and awareness</strong> about what happened during her sleep.</p>
<p>And on this day, it was in this state that she suddenly had a vision of a motorcycle crashing. An accident! She was a biker herself; and rode a big bike. The vision shocked her so much that she awoke. The vision was very clear and &#8216;real&#8217;. But she couldn&#8217;t see clearly who was involved in the accident. The next day, she was very careful in her riding while going to work.</p>
<p>One week later, while working at her office; she was being informed that her colleague had a motorcycle crash and had to stay in hospital. Immeditately she was being reminded of her &#8216;dream&#8217; or so called psychic vision. She paid a visit to her friend that very day. He had quite serious injury on one of his legs; and it was so bad that he had to take leave from work for about 6 months. She told me she could even smell blood in the hospital room.</p>
<p>I jokingly told her that she should train herself to have a clearer vision; and if she did have a psychic vision; she would know who was involved and perhaps gave a warning to that person. Wouldn&#8217;t it be wonderful to know things in advance? <img src='http://www.e-bazi.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' />  Well&#8230;many times it was not so. There were things which had to happen for their own purposes; it was all part of the bigger &#8216;plan&#8217;. This friend of hers was very very lucky. A motorcycle accident is usually very fatal. It turned out that her friend had the habit of donating blood on a constant basics. Donating blood is <strong>a good deed</strong>; and according to some chinese metaphysician and mystics if you can donate blood and help people, it will help you to avoid fatal accidents; or even if you meet one, it will help to cut down the impact of the unlucky crisis.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My intuition was telling me that this friend of mine could well be very different from other people, and day by day, as she progressed and meditated on her own, I began to teach her the various advanced formulas of the taoist traditions as best as I could.</p>
<p>She was progressing very fast, faster than myself and faster than what I could have imagined. In a few days time she was already able to do what the ancient chinese called the &#8216;gui xi&#8217; (tortise breathing), meaning that her breath is very very thin and almost nothing&#8230;a state of very deep relaxation.</p>
<p>The second day when she meditated at home, she was able to sit for more than 30minutes. A face of a monk appeared in her meditation.</p>
<p>When she was sitting, her body appeared to be still and straight, but she could feel her head and neck turning to one side, as if there is a part of her, inside her, that is moving out from her body.</p>
<p>A few days later, she saw a beautiful sun just above a mountain with little houses spread out here and there. The sun was setting, she told me, it was the most beautiful sun set she has ever seen. Does she have a body when she was looking at the sun. Nope she told me, it was as if there were only two eyes looking. There was no body. But she was very conscious that her body was sitting in meditation. She found the place familiar, but it was definitely not local. Perhaps, it was a scene from her previous life.</p>
<p>A few other prominent experiences she was experiencing for the following weeks -</p>
<p>~ Her qi was already running all over her body, in exactly the same channels one could find in books - the twelve meridians, the eight psychic channels, the ren and du channels</p>
<p>~ She experimented expanding her body, and could see mother earth!</p>
<p>~ She tried to do a bit of kundalini, and felt a very strong force moving from the bottom to the top of her head.</p>
<p>And problems come. She was experiencing a great discomfort in her head, and the qi that was running all over her channels disturb her so much she couldn&#8217;t rest well&#8230;this set us to plan a trip to visit a master overseas who could help her with these problems.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I taught my friend a simple taoist meditation technique which I had learnt from my master. That was in March 2006. She had never tried meditation before. She had heard about meditation, saw people doing it, but could never really understand why people are into these things.</p>
<p>All her life she only cared about training, competitions, and winning, and well..being a very disciplined and determined person, she was very successful in her achievements; and achieved literally every goals she had set for herself. She was now only in her late twenties, and was still going strong, determined to win in every competitions she was going for.</p>
<p>She was not the first one whom I have shared my meditation experiences. In fact I had shared and taught quite a few friends. I&#8217;m a very private person, and am not made to teach. I don&#8217;t go around offering to teach and tell people what I know. I only share with those who come to me and ask me.</p>
<p>Sometimes, I share with my team mates what I know about the ren-du channels in our body, the eight psychic channels and the twelve meridians as taught by the chinese ancients. My friends knew that I&#8217;m a weird (in their eyes) person. And they would listen to me, and looked at me with disbelief. I didn&#8217;t care most of the time what they could be thinking. was happy to just talk about it. <img src='http://www.e-bazi.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>The first time my friend tried meditation, I knew she was different, at least, different from all those I have met or knew. It was my intuition telling me. I asked her for feedback, how she felt during the meditation, which lasted only 10 minutes. I was afraid she might find it difficult to sit cross legs on the floor, something which most people had difficulty with - all the numbness and pain in the legs&#8230;</p>
<p>I could remember the first sentence she ask me, &#8220;Is it REAL???&#8221; She told me she felt as if she was hovering outside of her body..and she found it puzzling.</p>
<p>Hovering outside of her body! Just within 10minutes of sitting?! I was shocked and surprised that she could have this kind of experience just within 10mins of sitting. Hey&#8230;this was her FIRST one! This was an amazing feat, for a complete beginner, somemore she had never meditated all her life!</p>
<p>This is the simple meditation that started it all&#8230;</p>
